Information

  1. The TeamSpeak welcome room is muted (voice and chat) and serves as information room only. More detailed information can be found via the links provided in the channel description on thr right.
  2. Project/Language Coordinator can request temp rooms when required as sub rooms within the appropriate primary channel. These rooms can be created as needed for study groups, team meetings, etc.
  3. The English speaking seminar with TVP and International support meetings will be hosted in a temp room created in the Global Support section.
  4. Project and Language Coordinators should approach available online admins/moderators/facilitators to request creation of temp room as needed for purpose. Once confirmed, an event can be created on TVPActivism and event invites can be sent.
  5. Prior notification and booking of rooms is advised to avoid disappointment. Coordinators wishing to schedule a room should provide the following information: Coordinator's (E-mails), Approximate event duration, Purpose of event. These bookings should be sent to Tech Support – Daniel K. – .
  6. Once event reservation is confirmed it should be added to TeamSpeak event schedule listed below.
  7. Following use of temp rooms, these will then be closed, and members/guests should then return to the welcome room.
  8. Project and Language Coordinators should be given channel admin in these temporary rooms as appropriate, they are then expected to moderate as needed within these rooms, guest and general member restrictions are at the discretion of channel administrators.
  9. All unmoderated rooms will immediately be closed.

What do I do?

  1. Register on www.thevenusproject.com
  2. Go to www.tvpactivism.com (use same login as above) and join a team (Teams can be found by scrolling through the groups sections listed. Applicants should click "Join group".
  3. Once accepted to the group, please confirm with server moderator to be provided with the appropriate team logo on TeamSpeak.
  4. Project/Language POC's should also indicate in brackets following name their role / title, example: John [Coord. Research]. This is to indicate who is to be approached for requesting relevent information.
  5. All Admins/Moderators/Facilitators should confirm members via TVPActivism before allocating TeamSpeak badges.

Roles and functions defined

  1. Server Admins – Manage the TS server settings (permissions, etc.) and act in the event of technical issues arising from the T/S server. All admins will be required to go through training process in order to gain familiarity with functions/options/settings. Applications to join server admin team should be sent to Sven – .
  2. Server Moderators – Are responsible for ensuring a conflict free and productive environment on the TeamSpeak server. Complaints should be issued to the moderator group. Moderators will be selected shortly and appropriate e-mails will be announced. (Present Moderators can be identified by a "SM" badge).
  3. Information Facilitators – This new role will be created for TVP Facilitators of accurate information, these will be individuals with high understanding of TVP and high familiarity with all projects and structure. These should be approached for general advice and guidance.

At this time all Admins/Moderators are encouraged to spend significant time on T/S.
